Kyle Music Product Warranty and Return Policy Information
Are you buying a gift?
Early-Bird gift shoppers should open and inspect their gifts upon delivery; and NOT wait until the gift is given. Shipping damage MUST be reported within 3 days. The return policy is still 30 days. We acknowledge that holidays may affect the return policy period a few days. However, orders received and held un-inspected or taken by sleigh to Grandma's house may fall outside the damage or return policies.

At Kyle Music we guarantee your satisfaction for 30 days after your order ships.
When returning a product, you can request an identical replacement item, exchange the product for another product, or request a refund. When procedures are followed, restocking fees are not charged (see below.)
If the return results from the receipt of damaged or defective product, or from our mistake, we will in most cases pay the shipping charges - both to have your item sent back to us, and to send you a replacement item.
Return/Exchange policies vary by manufacturer. The following are general guidelines.
IMPORTANT: We will be unable to process a refund if the returned item is sent without an RMA number from the manufacturer. Please follow the steps below.
Kyle Music will return/exchange:
Damaged/Defective Items:
Important: Shipping damage MUST be reported within 3 days of delivery. Manufacturing defects must be reported within 30 days of receipt of your order. Contact us with your name, order number, and reason for return. We will then provide you with an RMA (return merchandise authorization number) and return instructions. NOTE: some manufacturers will NOT provide replacements for defective items. They ask that the item be returned to them for repair. In this case, shipping charges are non-refundable. Special order items are non-returnable.
Non-Defective Items:
If you wish to return any non-defective products, we will refund any purchase within 30 days of receipt of non-used merchandise, minus shipping charges. A 15% restocking fee may be charged depending on the circumstances. You must contact us and provide the order number, your name, and reason the item is being returned for a refund. We will then issue you an RMA number. The customer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges. For items with shipping included in the price, the customer is responsible for the actual cost of shipping and handling. Once the item and all of the original contents have been returned in proper condition, we will then issue a refund. Returned orders will not be accepted without a RMA number and will be refused upon delivery. We are not able to return non-defective inventory to our manufacturers; therefore, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 15% on any non-defective returns. Kyle Music reserves the right to evaluate product return conditions and assess restocking fees at its own discretion.
Returns for items purchased in a package:
The policy above applies for items that are or are not defective. However, if the individual items were priced as part of an overall package, you will be given a refund in the amount of the current price for the individual item on our site, minus any restocking fees if applicable.
Packages must have the RMA number written visibly on shipping box, with a brief description of the product defect inside. All items must be returned in the original packaging. KyleMusic.com is not responsible for any item not received to our warehouse. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing returns.
Exceptions to Our Return Policy
Products that match the following categories can only be returned for replacement if they are defective or damaged in transit, or only for exchange or refund if they are still sealed.
- Printed music (books and sheet music), Videotapes, DVDs, Sample Libraries, Style Disks, Sound Expansion Boards, Sound Cards, and Software (which may also include hardware bundled with software) cannot be returned once opened due to copyright law.
- Cassettes, open reel tape, DAT tape, CD-R, MiniDisc, and FlashROM media cannot be returned once opened due to the possiblity that they could be used.
- Drumheads, Drumsticks, Cleaning Supplies, Care Products, Rosin, Tubes, and Instrument Strings cannot be returned once opened because they are disposable.
- Microphones (all types), Harmonicas, Ear Plugs, In-Ear Monitors, Heil Talk Boxes, and any other items that touch your mouth, your nose, or your inner ear cannot be returned once opened due to health laws.
- All instruments parts including guitar parts, instrument pickups, and raw frame speakers cannot be returned once opened due to the possiblity that they could be used.
- Cymbals cannot be returned once opened due to the fact that they immediately reveal use.
- Analog and digital recording gear (e.g. ADATS, hard-disk recorders, etc) or CD duplicators that shows wear or significant usage time may be refused or result in a restocking fee.
Who pays original and return shipping?
If the return is needed as a result of damage, defect, or our mistake, we will usually (depending on the manufacturer) pay the shipping charges - both to have your item sent back to us, and to send you a replacement item.
If you return a product for any reason in exchange for a different product, we pay the shipping charges on the product we ship to you in exchange for the product you return, but you are responsible for the return shipping on the product you send back, and we do not credit any original shipping charges toward the exchange.
In the case of a return for refund, we refund the full purchase price of the product, but you are responsible for return shipping on the product you are returning and we do not credit the original shipping charges toward the exchange.
Restocking Fees
We can only accept items that are returned without signs of wear and tear and with all of the original contents and packaging. Contents consists of any included parts and accessories, as well as the warranty card and manual without user's notes or markings. Packaging includes all inner and outer packaging, complete with the original barcode affixed.
Items not returned in the condition described here may be subject to restocking fees (up to 20% of the purchase price, as determined by our cost of replacing the missing items including a processing fee for this labor-intensive process) or refusal of the return. Larger items and items that we ship directly from our vendors can be subject to a 30% restocking fee. This fee may apply if you refuse delivery or as a result of delivery exceptions, as well as from a typical return.
Product Warranty Information
All of the products sold at Kyle Music comply to the strictest standards of quality control, and are fully warranted by the manufacturer. All warranties for products purchased through Kyle Music are the responsibility of the respective manufacturers. All issues, claims and questions concerning product warranties should be submitted directly to the manufacturers. Warranty time-frames vary by individual manufacturer. If by chance you receive a product which is defective, the manufacturer's warranty information and service address will be clearly marked on or in the package you receive. If your product is damaged in shipping, the issue can quickly be resolved by notifying UPS. Many of the manufacturers have warranty & service information on their web sites as well. If you need a formal receipt for rebates or warranty service other than your original email receipt or are unsure of the manufacturer of your product, please contact us.
Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall Kyle Music, Kyle Investments Corporation, or any other party involved in creating, distributing, or supplying products to Kyle Music, be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages that result from products purchased from Kyle Music, the use or inability to use the site, the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services, unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data, statements or conduct of any third party on the site. You hereby acknowledge that this paragraph shall apply to all content, merchandise, and services available through the Web site. In the event that your state does not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for damages, in such states liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us, and our subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of content that is taken from and or utilized from Kyle Music or any of Kyle Investments Corporation's websites.
